More of the usual from Unusual Fiction – Welcome to my new home.

20161102_122640

A change is as good as a cure, or so they say. That’s debatable.

There are lots of changes going on in my life at the moment. So much so that most of the time I just want to crawl into a ball and hide, pull the covers over my head and beg the world to just go away. Big changes are scary and traumatic, they sweep the ground out from under you and make you question why you would want to move away from what has become familiar, and safe because of its normality.

So having made  significant life decisions in the last few months both professionally and personally, I feel rather like an explorer arriving at the base camp of Everest waiting to climb, in my underwear. I am not prepared. I am exhausted and wary but determined and powered by the knowledge that I am now taking back the reins of my life.

And so after getting that off my chest I shall address the obvious elephant in the room, How has Incessant Musings suddenly morphed into UnusualFiction? I apologise for any confusion.  There were changes I needed to make with my old site and issues with the providers so I migrated back to wordpress.com from wordpress.org. It’s a different look and it suits where I am going as a writer and blogger.

As this site is still a work in progress,  my apologies in advance for the noise of builders and the odd overhanging cable. I shall be updating periodically but don’t worry I’ll try not to make a mess.

Thanks for sticking by and as always for your kind and thoughtful comments over the past year.

Writer and Poet living in beautiful Laois, Ireland. I have recently published a book on Amazon for Kindle called The Lights Went Out and Other Stories; a collection of flash, short and longer fiction consisting of humerous, poignant and supernatural tales. I am currently editing a novel - Martha's Cottage and writing a second novel, a horror, as yet untitled When not scribbling or with my head in a book I am addicted to GoT and the Walking Dead. My ambition in life (apart from somehow getting everyone in the known universe to read my books) is to play a zombie in a George A Romero production.
